Po Sim Sambath, Jonathan Audin, Sépànd Danesh
The three artists in residence at the Ateliers du Plessix-Madeuc had never met before. All three develop a line of thinking about the space surrounding them: Po Sim Simbath (a photographer) about the natural and arbitrary boundaries which shape nature and its environment, Jonathan Audin (a painter) about light and its influence on our perceptions of our immediate surroundings, playing on chiaroscuros, and Sepand Danesh (a painter) through his “Theatre of the Imaginary” tries to find a means of expression to occupy that confusing space which exists between people, between him and others. These three approaches to “Domestic Landscapes” prompt us to step back and hone the way we look at the present-day world. This new vision is a source of sharing and exchange where everyone can construct new landmarks for themselves.
